Does anyone remember WWII?  A time when the country united to fight a common enemy? As a WWII buff I know a lot about those times.  The country was willing to sacrifice in order to win a war.  And they did win it even though they hated how it had to be done, After 9/11 our country united in a way I have never seen before...and it had nothing to do with GWB.  But where is that mentality now?

Our country has a long history of prejudice.  African Americans were slaves and only counted as 3/5 of a person.  Irish Americans were invited not to apply for positions.  Jews were discriminated against prior to WWII and beyond.  German Americans and Japanese Americans suffered during WWII and beyond.  JFK was questioned about his loyalty to America or the Vatican.  Now it is Muslim Americans.
