Now, two decades later, we are embroiled in a battle for our lives in Afghanistan, a battle that broke the Soviet Union.  Will it break us?

I can speak in very short sentences with very short words (sound bites), too, and make sweeping generalities that are misleading.  For example:"Democrats are liberals."
